Rumors of a breakup between IU and Lee Jong-suk have been officially shut down. According to a report from OSEN on May 20, the beloved celebrity couple is still very much together and going strong as they enter their third year of dating.
An industry insider told OSEN, “IU and Lee Jong-suk are still seeing each other and doing well,” firmly denying recent speculation that the two had called it quits.

The couple confirmed their relationship in December 2022, and since then, they’ve maintained a low-profile but affectionate public presence. Lee Jong-suk has been seen attending IU’s concerts, and the pair has occasionally referenced each other in media appearances, much to the delight of fans.
Breakup rumors began to circulate again following IU’s May 16 birthday, when she was reportedly seen dining with BTS’s V at a luxury restaurant. IU later posted a casual photo with close friend Kang Han-na, fueling more speculation.

However, it was clarified that the dinner with V was nothing more than a friendly gathering with chef Ahn Sung-jae and other acquaintances. IU and V have remained close friends since collaborating on a music video, and sources confirmed there is no romantic involvement.
Meanwhile, Lee Jong-suk is lined up for tvN’s Seocho-dong and is preparing for long-term overseas filming for his upcoming project The Remarried Empress, prompting concerns about a potential long-distance strain. But insiders reassured fans, saying the couple remains close and supportive of one another despite their busy schedules.

IU is also making a highly anticipated return to music with her third remake album A Flower Bookmark 3, set for release on May 27 after the success of When Life Gives You Tangerines.
With both stars thriving in their careers and maintaining a healthy, private relationship, fans can rest easy—IU and Lee Jong-suk are still very much in love.
